No one wants to pick up a new vape only to find out the coils are hard to find, it's our job to make things less complicated. Our staff are good at recognising coils in our stores, however, we recommend you get familiar with your device plus the coils you prefer and the correct wattage range for a more pleasurable vaping experience.

To ensure proper priming of your vape coil, follow these three steps or refer to our step-by-step video guide:

1. Look for holes in your coil's outer housing to identify the wicking areas. Vape liquid should be poured into each hole, rotating it back to dampen the cotton wicking material.
2. Fill the tank with e-liquid after installing the coil according to your device's instructions. Give it approximately five to ten minutes to sit undisturbed.
3. You should take 3-5 quick, sharp inhalations after the designated time has passed without pressing any buttons on your vape kit. During this process, the vape liquid saturates and prepares the coil for vaping. Overdrawing the coil may flood it with too much liquid, so take care not to overdo it.

What is the importance of priming your vape coil?

In order to prevent potential damage to your new vape coil, you must prime it. Dry coils without priming may produce unpleasant burning tastes or reduced flavour and vapour production. You can reprime your coil if you experience muted flavour or reduced vapour even with a partially saturated coil in order to restore normal operation. Nonetheless, success is not guaranteed, and you may have to replace the coil in the long run.

In the event that your coil is completely damaged, you will taste burnt and it won't function as it should. If this happens, the coil needs to be replaced and primed before use.

To ensure an optimal vaping experience and prevent premature coil replacement, it is crucial to prime any new vape coil correctly.

When I prime my coil, what happens if I flood it?

If you drip excessive liquid during priming, your coil may be flooded. E-liquid leakage and gurgling are signs of a flooded coil. There is no need to worry if this occurs, since the coil itself isn't affected. If you want to expel liquid from your vape kit, flick it away from you toward a tissue. Until the gurgling and spitting cease, repeat this process.

How often should you replace a coil?

Additionally, the type of e-liquid and frequency of use also affect a coil's lifespan. It is common for coils to last less when the e-liquid is thicker and sweeter. The following symptoms indicate that your coil needs to be replaced:

• The taste of burnt tobacco in your vape.
• A gurgling sound is heard during use.
• Flavour change was unpleasant.

Your coil should be replaced when you see these indicators.
