What Is in EasyPuff™ E-Liquid?

Here at EasyPuff™ E-Cigarettes, we believe that switching to vaping is one of the most health-conscious decisions that a smoker can make. We want you to be confident that you’ve made the right choice, and knowing what you’re putting into your body can go a long way toward ensuring you have that confidence. We want you to know what’s in our products, and we’ve put this page together to give you the information you need.

Does EasyPuff™ E-Liquid Contain Diacetyl or Diethylene Glycol?

No. EasyPuff™ vape juice contains no diacetyl or diethylene glycol. Diacetyl is a common food flavouring that imparts a buttery or creamy taste to foods like microwave popcorn. It also occurs naturally in fermented products such as beer. It is believed that the inhalation of diacetyl leads to irreversible lung damage, however, so we do not use it in our e-liquid.

Does EasyPuff™ E-Liquid Contain Nicotine?

We manufacture e-liquid with and without nicotine, giving you the choice to vape with nicotine or not, depending on your preference.

What Are the Ingredients of EasyPuff™ E-Liquid?

EasyPuff™ e-liquid contains the following four ingredients:

  • Propylene glycol (PG)
  • Vegetable glycerine (VG)
  • Food-grade natural flavours
  • Nicotine (optional)

Here is a sample breakdown of the ingredients in a zero-nicotine EasyPuff™ e-liquid. All of our e-liquids are consistent with this formula, but the specific flavouring agents used depend on the flavour profile of that specific vape juice.

In addition, the ratio of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol may vary between different e-liquids depending on the desired characteristics of the final product. An e-liquid with more PG than VG is ideal for beginning vapers because it works well with the smaller vaping devices that beginners usually prefer. An e-liquid with more VG than PG produces bigger vapour clouds but requires equipment designed to accommodate thick e-liquids.

To give you a practical example, we’ll break down the ingredients in an EasyPuff™ vanilla e-liquid.

  • Propylene glycol (74%)
  • Vanilla extract (11%)
  • Malic acid (3%)
  • Methylcyclopentane-1, 2-dione (2.5%) (Provides an aroma like coffee or roasted barley)
  • Piperonal (1.5%) (Floral note resembling vanilla and cherry)
  • Damascenone (0.2%) (Floral note resembling rose)
  • Acetylpyrazine (1%) (Found in foods such as nuts, seeds and ice cream)
  • Rose oil (1.5%)
  • Rhodinol (0.3%) (Floral note extracted from citronella or geranium)
  • Eleutheroside E1 (5%) (Extracted from the root of the wild pepper plant)

What Is Propylene Glycol?

Propylene glycol is a chemical resulting from a reaction between propylene oxide and water. It’s an effective solvent and emulsifier, and it traps and retains moisture. It’s common in foods, powdered beverages, soft drinks, makeup, toothpaste and more. The United States Food and Drug Administration has deemed it safe for human consumption in moderate amounts. Propylene glycol has almost no scent, and it has a flavour that’s slightly sweet.

What Is Vegetable Glycerine?

Vegetable glycerine is a natural ingredient that’s created in the soapmaking process. Glycerine can come from animal or plant sources, but only vegetable-derived glycerine is used for e-liquid production. To make soap, you add lye to oil. The lye triggers a chemical reaction that produces soap and glycerine. Vegetable glycerine has a fairly sweet flavour and is occasionally used as a sweetener and natural preservative in foods. Glycerine also has moisturizing properties, and it’s often added to lotions and other topical products. Like PG, the United States FDA has declared VG safe for human consumption.

Isn’t Propylene Glycol Used in Antifreeze?

The ingredient that you’re thinking of is ethylene glycol, which is the main ingredient for most antifreeze and is extremely toxic even at relatively low doses. Propylene glycol is an alternative that’s used for non-toxic antifreeze, which doesn’t last as long in automotive cooling systems but is significantly less dangerous. Bear in mind that, while PG is used in some types of antifreeze, it’s also used in an enormous variety of other products. It’s likely that you already consume PG – and put it on your skin – every day.

Does EasyPuff™ Manufacture Its E-Juice in New Zealand?

We develop our flavours in house, and we send our recipes to an outside laboratory that handles the production for us. Working with an outside production facility allows us to guarantee the quality and consistency of our product.

Our laboratory has nearly a decade of e-liquid production experience and produces over 310 different TPU-compliant e-liquids. Our laboratory also holds an assortment of safety certifications including GMP, HACCP, ISO and KFDA.

An additional benefit stemming from the fact that we produce our e-liquid in an outside laboratory is that we do not suffer from the supply chain issues that plague some other companies in the vaping industry. Our laboratory has extremely high production capacity and manufactures e-liquid at three large plants in Europe and China.
